You will be responsible for building the Livestation platform in a number of challenging and exciting ways. We serve millions of requests daily, both through web pages and web services, so experience working with large-scale websites, caching and performance tuning is a must. We are about to commence our next ‘big idea’ so this is your chance to get in at the ground level and work with us in building something amazing.
While Rails development will be your main responsibility, we also need someone who can think and breathe JavaScript and jQuery, so we can make the Livestation platform an engaging place for people to discover the hidden world around them through global news aggregation and curation.
Good knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, HAML, RSPEC, FFMPEG and ActionScript 3 are also big bonuses. Experience with Ubuntu, Nginx, HAProxy and Phusion Passenger will help with system administration.

Livestation is looking for a experienced and highly-skilled C++ Developer for developing Livestation’s video infrastructure, such as encoder and streaming applications. You will be working in a small team, creating and maintaining an existing application using Qt or Boost framework and Open Source video library, such as ffmpeg and libx264.
Livestation is the largest online aggregator of live news in the world. We provide over 10 million consumers access to dozens of live news channels across the three screens (computer, mobile and connected TV).
